In order to take a closer look at what type of travellers visit the cheapflights.co.uk website, analysis was undertaken to look at what type of mobile phones users were accessing the site with. Mobile search makes up around 9% of the total visits to the sites and information was also collected using a survey asking people specific questions about their travel habits and what type of phone they have. The aim was to look and see if there were any major differences between the way people travel and what phone they have and if that had any correlation to the way they travel.

These days, a brand of phone people choose can give a slight insight into their personality type and this research was collected in order to see if that was reflected in your behaviour and holiday choices.

People have a lot of stereotypes of individuals based on what phone they have. These include Blackberry users being workaholics as they were originally thought of as a business phone. These days they are also popular with teens thanks to their BBM (Blackberry Messenger) services. iPhone users are often perceived to be the creative types and android users are generally thought of as geeks. Do any of these stereotypes have an element of truth? Perhaps so but do these groups also have different travel habbits? This is what the research aimed to find out.
