Google Plus has been slow to take off, which is a shame, as it has many advantages.
- Circles – have allowed you to refine who you share content with – rather than spamming personal friends with SEO links.
- Clean Interface – No ads, no clutter.
- Sharp Photographs – Larger, clearer photographs make a much better showcase for your products.
- Pages – are much better quality and look far more professional.
- Relationships – it links up very easily with your other google products, facilitating sharing.
Google Plus has also forced Facebook to raise it’s game. However there are disadvantages.
- Lack of Reach – Like twitter was, at the moment Google Plus is the preserve of celebs, marketers and techies.
- Trust Issues – People don’t trust Google. But then, people don’t trust Facebook either.
- History – Previous Google social products have bombed. Badly.
